farm family photoThis page is designed to help experienced farmers locate farming opportunities in Maine, and to provide them with the information and support they need to begin farming successfully.

Program Eligibility

To join the program you must have a minimum of three years of agricultural experience. 

If you are not an experienced farmer please go to Additional Resources or contact the FarmLink Coordinator.

If you are an experienced farmer, fill out the Application Form and mail it to the office with your $30 Maine Farmland Trust membership. (In order to qualify for services as a Prospective Farmer, you must be a member of Maine Farmland Trust).

Once your application is received, we will assign you a password to access the searchable Farm List and Service Provider List.

Program Services

  • Access to the Farm List, Service Provider List, and all other farming resources on this site and at the Maine Farmland Trust office.
  • Farm search support from the FarmLink office and partnering organizations, including one-on-one assistance from the FarmLink coordinator.

You will need to renew each year to continue receiving these services. If you do not have access to the Internet, we can send you the Farm List by mail.
